ColorTool
How to assign colors
As a first step, please click on the button "Background" in the navigation menu on the left-hand side and then click on the small color area that is then visible. The click opens the color selector, with which you can choose your color for an ocean, a lake or a river. Having chosen the color you want, click the "OK" button within the color selector and you will see the color you have selected in the map. In order to view the changes you have made, you should of course select a map section that contains a sea.
How to assign the width of streets
As a second step, please zoom in to a city so that smaller or less important streets can be seen. Please click on the button "Streets" on the left-hand navigation menu. The click opens two color selectors and one input box. A street can consist of two lines: a thicker one lies beyond a thinner one so that the street has an outer color boundary. You can define the width of the thicker line through the input box. Try out a few values and see how it looks. Select the color that most appeals to you. Through the color area "outlcol" you can select the color for the thicker line, and through the color area "linecol" you can select the color for the weaker line. If you do not want any wide lines, define the value for "outlwdt" as "0".
It's as easy as that – enjoy designing your map!

The "States" button is clicked in the screenshot. This makes the color areas that can be clicked visible along with the input field for the line strength. You can change the line strength by entering a different value.
You change the color shade by clicking over one of the color fields. The color area "fillcol" determines the fill color and the "outcol" field determines the outline.
